A Child’s Lesson
From Noah to the great mercy of God - you taught me
No matter how hard I may have seemed,
You took the time to show me
You gave me the foundation of a high learning, that could help me with my daily life
And to gain my first relationship with God
Although I made your teaching so hard,
You never turned away and went your separate way
Instead you remained firm and gave me a few stern words
Although I seemed not to be listening to what you had to say,
Inside it was like a hand molding me -
In the best way you knew how
From asking questions to discussing your teaching,
You challenged me and reminded me
That there was nothing such as a ‘stupid question’
You brought me to the level of understanding t
That I needed to move on
To a higher capacity of learning; in school church or home
You created the me that no one else in the world could have come close to doing
Because you are my unique parents and none other like you
As you push me in life
I learn more
It’s not only for my own good...
But others in the world that I could influence
Through your love - I am able to stand and declare
That this child’s lesson is not to become the greatest person
Alive on the face of the earth - Nor to have the most money
But the lesson is to have the peace of God by my side
As I progress in every aspect in life
Just as it was taught by my God sent teachers;
My one and only parents
